When you hire me as a photographer, you have a few options.
I can:
Only take before & after photos.
Take photos throughout the entire birth.
Take pictures throughout the entire birth, but break it up into two days.
Let me go into detail.
If you want me to only take before and after pictures, that consists of everything but the actual birth. I offer this to women that are uncomfortable with the idea of a stranger being around when her legs are in the air. I understand completely.
If you want me to take pictures throughout the entire birth, I take before, during, and after pictures. I stay until after the baby has come back from getting their first bath, and if there are any siblings that need to meet him/her, I wait for them to get there. (As long as they are scheduled to arrive soon after).
If you want me to take pictures, but break it up into two days, I take before, during, and some after pictures. I don't take all of the after pictures that I normally would until the next day. I come back the next day and take close-ups of the baby and some family pictures. Why do I offer this? Giving birth is a very special event, and it makes for a very special day. Filled with family and friends. I don't want to take away from that by keeping you from enjoying that time. New mom's love the idea of this because they can get the rest they've been dying to get, they have time the next day to get ready and put on make-up if desired, and their new baby looks more like themselves on day two since the swelling has gone down.
I hope all of that made sense. If you have any questions, email me.
In NaTasha's case, she had lots of family members dying to meet Troy, and she was quite tired from the day's events. So she had me come back the next day. For another example of next day pictures, go to this link. (The last bunch of pictures were from the next day).
Here's pictures from the shoot.

Hope you enjoyed! XOXO
